SakeBomb Garage is an aftermarket performance auto parts company located in California that specializes in Japanese sports cars. They do everything from off-the-shelf parts to custom kits designed in-house, as well as service and maintenance.
While I worked there, I designed and tested new products, and photographed and marketed them. I also engaged with customers to promote and develop the brand. Kits and projects I worked on include:
- Competition Electric Water Pump Kit for the FD3S RX-7
- IGN-1A High Performance Ignition System Upgrade for the SE3P RX-8
- A custom ECU kit including custom PCB, stock-fitment ECU housing, and custom adapter harness
- Billet aluminum brake rotor hats for a two-piece big brake kit for multiple generations of Mazda Miata
- Brake caliper adapter brackets for the FD3S RX-7 for AP Racing, Wilwood, and SakeBomb Garage’s own in-house brand
- An oil filter relocation pedestal for use with the FD3S RX-7 dual oil cooler kit
- Competition Oil Cooling System for a LS-Swapped V8 FD3S RX-7
- Fire Extinguisher Seat Mount for the NA & NB Miata
- Custom, hand-built bi-xenon HID kits for the NA Miata
- A limited run of Piloti brand driving shoes
The brand identity for SakeBomb Garage combines luxury, aspirational, high-end imagery with good old down-to-earth fun with cars. All of our primary product images were positioned on clean, simple backgrounds to avoid distracting from the products. I arranged and staged our marketing images to have compelling compositions and effectively showcase the products.
