Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to customers’ most frequently asked questions about my products, design work, and services. If you don’t see your question, please send me a message!

Do you do custom work and commissions?

Yes! I can do everything from custom vector icons to fully-fledged corporate websites. I also offer custom colors for my 3D printed products and modifications such as adding text or logos.

Check out the services I offer to see if I’m a good fit for your needs, and to submit a quote request. I look forward to hearing from you!

How do you invoice?

I invoice monthly on the first of the month, with net-30 payment terms.

Who retains the intellectual property rights?

You retain full rights and final copyright for the final deliverables, once they’re paid for in full and I provide them to you.

I retain the right to use the work I’ve done as part of my portfolio, and to use elements of your project as a case study for marketing purposes.

For example, I developed the first iteration of NPS Online for the Naval Postgraduate School. NPS retains full ownership and copyright for the work I did, but I use it in my portfolio as an example of past web design work.

I retain copies of any working files created for your project, for archival and reference purposes. This means that, in the event of data loss on your part, I have backups of what I’ve done for you. These remain in my archives, however, and I won’t re-use your identifiable elements in other projects.

In the case of patents in progress, active non-disclosure agreements, and other proprietary information, I won’t publish anything covered under these in my portfolio. I also won’t use them when presenting past work samples to prospective clients.
