About 303Drones.com
303Drones.com was a small company that sold hand-built quadcopters made out of CNC-machined aluminum and high quality components. Their target market was remote-control aircraft hobbyists who enjoyed building kits and tinkering with their aircraft.
Solving the client’s need
The client’s previous logo felt generic and a bit dated. However, they had a stylized silhouette of one of their quadcopters that they used as visual motif. They machined this silhouette into the chassis of each aircraft they produced.
I chose to bring a more modern aesthetic with a clean, blocky, sans-serif font with very circular curves to some of its letters. This allowed me to more easily integrate the stylized quadcopter silhouette in the center into the design. I replaced the O in the center of the logo’s text with the quadcopter motif in a contrasting color to draw visual attention to it.
This integrated the client’s existing branding into their logo, giving them a cohesive brand identity without requiring them to redesign their products.
